Field | Description |

state | The 2-letter state abbreviation. |
place fips 2020 | A 5 to 7-digit code, maintained by the U.S. Census, representing a county or place. |
place name | The place name. Typically the town name like "Missoula city" or "Junction City village". |
source | The source of the district: ballotready. |
source id | The source ID of the district. |
name | The name of the city council district. |
code | A unique ID for a district within the scope of an office/jurisdiction. If it is a BallotReady district, code is based on geo_id. If it is a TargetSmart district, this is the district name as it appears on the TargetSmart voterfile. |
start date | The date that the district became active. |
